How Standing Desks Affect Posture and Energy Levels in Home Offices

Standing desks have become a default recommendation for home office setups, but the evidence behind them is more mixed than the marketing suggests. A few well-designed studies show measurable changes in posture and subjective energy, while others find little difference from sitting. Here's what the research actually points to.

The first thing to understand is that standing desks don't fix posture by themselves. They change the available positions, which can help if you use them well.
